Data Retention Policy
How long we keep your data and how you can request deletion.

Retention by Plan Tier
Data retention periods are configured per plan. Once a retention window expires, data enters a soft-delete phase before permanent removal.
| Plan | Retention Period | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 3 days | Ideal for development and experimentation |
| Starter | 14 days | Short-term debugging and trend monitoring |
| Pro | 30 days | Monthly reporting and incident investigation |
| Scale | 90 days | Quarterly analysis and compliance needs |
What Data Is Retained
Retention applies to the following observability data types:
- Agent execution traces and spans
- LLM call records (prompts, completions, token counts, costs)
- Tool invocation logs
- Custom metrics and annotations
- Context and memory profiling snapshots
Account data (organization settings, user profiles, API key metadata) is retained for the lifetime of the account and is not subject to tier-based retention windows.
Soft-Delete and Grace Period
When data reaches the end of its retention window, it is soft-deleted with a 24-hour grace period before permanent removal. During this window, data is excluded from queries and dashboards but can be recovered by contacting support.
After the grace period, data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Deletion on Request
You may request deletion of your observability data at any time by contacting support@agentvista.dev. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, consistent with GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure) and CCPA requirements.
Deletion requests can cover:
- All data associated with your organization
- Data for specific agents or time ranges
- Complete account deletion (including account data)
Data Export
Before data exits its retention window, you can export it via the AgentVista API. We support JSON export of traces, spans, and aggregated metrics.
